Springfield Rural Real Estate Search Tips
- Use a price range as your main search criterion. Once price is specified, you won't need to specify location.
- If you search for only one type of property at a time, e.g. Residential or Farm & Recreational, you'll be able to use the "Additional Criteria" tab. Be sure to specify price before you try to select the tab, or it won't work.
- If you're looking for small acreage (40 or under), be sure to check Residential as well as Farm & Recreational. There's no specific rule for what constitutes a farm versus a residence.
- Don't trust any map results you get. Rural properties are notoriously hard to map!
- Search results are only as good as the data provided by the listing agent. Keep your searches as general as you can to avoid eliminating properties that have blanks in criteria fields.
- This MLS covers Greene County and the city of Springfield, as well as outlying counties, including Cedar, Dade, Lawrence, Barry, Polk, Hickory, Christian, Stone, Taney, Dallas, Laclede, Webster, Wright and Douglas. The counties furthest from Springfield such as Douglas, Cedar, Taney, Laclede tend to have other MLS sytems that overlap them.
